Global Load Balancing (GLB) is a network-based service that uses intelligent DNS to balance content requests among two or more servers containing the same content that are geographically separate. End sites can be in either Sify DC or Customer's premises.
The service provides load balancing with HTTP and DNS based redirection with option to select active/active or active/standby; and built-in DDoS protection to prevent from DNS based attacks.
Load balancing methods supported are ordered-list, round robin, weighted round robin, least loaded, and hashed. The service supports load balancing criterion; such as availability, proximity, load, source of the request and preference.
Global Load Balancer provides site level load balancing across geographically dispersed Data Centers based on site availability and proximity routing to choose the best site in terms of having the quickest response time.

Detailed Descriptions
Global Load Balancing (GLB) is a network based Service that uses intelligent DNS and can balance content requests among two or more servers containing the same content that are geographically separate. The content requests are load balanced across redundant and geographically dispersed data centers based on site availability and proximity routing to choose the best site in terms of having the quickest response time. End sites can either be in Sify DC or Customer's premises.
The service provides load balancing with HTTP and DNS based redirection with option to select Active/Active or Active/standby; and built-in DDoS protection to prevent from DNS based attacks.
Load balancing methods supported are Ordered-list, Round-Robin, Weighted Round-Robin, Least Loaded and Hashed. The Service supports Load balancing criterion; such as Availability, Proximity, Load, Source of the Request and Preference.
Supported Keepalives for checking Availability are ICMP, TCP, HTTP HEAD, KAL-AP, CRA [Cisco SLB devices], Name Server, None and Adjusting Failure Detection Time for Keepalives.
